Time Out!

What is on your “stop doing it” list?

I have a few suggestions:

Sarcasm.  It’s one of the cruelest forms of condemning.

Profanity.  Stop offending people who are within earshot.  Keep the colorful language out of your place of business.

Being vociferous about politics.  Be sure to frame all political conversations this year.  Without question, this a very divisive election.

Talking down to people.  Very subtle, but extremely damaging to building and maintaining trust.

Telling others they are wrong.  Look for ways to build others up rather than tear them down.

Worrying.  A real time waster and a major health threat.

Micromanaging.  Someone’s not needed, and it just might be you!

Human relations principle of the week:

“Use encouragement.  Make the fault seem easy to correct.” ~ Dale Carnegie

Onward!
