September 26, 2017. For many, it’s just another day of the year. For me, it represents 57 years of living, 50 years of a faith walk, 40 years in business, 35 years of marriage, 32 years in the Dale Carnegie Training business, 30 years as a father, 16 years as a Dale Carnegie Franchisee, 9 years as an executive coach, 2 years as a grandfather, and one year of writing — failing often along the way, and now just learning how to unlock the potential in others. The journey to becoming a servant leader every day is difficult and humbling, yet I have found the trip to be the adventure of a lifetime, in which I am being rewarded with a life of contentment and joy.
When I woke up this morning, the journey continued, though I managed to blow it before 7:15 a.m. I quickly found my servant lenses, however, and am back on track. The book was written to be helpful to those looking to start, continue, or recommit to the learning journey of choosing to become a servant leader; the crazy idea that life is really not about you, it is about being helpful and useful to others. Easy to understand yet really hard to do. It’s a quick read with lots of thought-provoking questions. I hope you enjoy!
The official launch is September 26. As promised, however, my devoted followers of the Midweek Mentor can purchase on Amazon today by clicking here.
P.S. I look forward to your thoughts and feedback.
